dr Dorota Rygiel

She graduated from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin with a degree in English philology. Since graduation, she has been a lecturer at Department of English at Krosno State College where she teaches British studies, history of Great Britain and practical English courses.She obtained her PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Opole. Her research interests include intercultural communication, multiculturalism in Great Britain and modern immigrant literature. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on identity crisis in contemporary British-Asian literature. She has co-organized Across Borders conferences and participated in a number of national and international scholarly conferences. In 2015 she was a copy editor of The European Journal of Humour Research. Co-editor of Culture, Language and Literature in European and World Border Regions, Prace Naukowo-Badawcze PWSZ w Krośnie (Vol. 27). Guest lecturer in Spain (Universidad de Cordoba, Universidad de Valladolid, Universidad de Huelva, Universidad de Cadiz) and Portugal (Universidade de Minho, Braga).
