English Philology students’ participation in Foreign Language Day at “Szczepanik”

On Friday, 8 December 2017, the fourth edition of Foreign Language Day, organized under the patronage of the Mayor of Krosno took place in the High School No. 1 group named after J. Szczepanik in Krosno, which is in partnership with our College. 350 junior high school students from twenty-three schools from the city of Krosno and the Krosno county, together with foreign language teachers took part in it. The youth enjoyed participation in a variety of attractions, for examplelanguage competitions, games and a series of language workshops conducted by teams of third year students of English Philology , teaching specialization –Ewelina Dyrcz, Jakub Giera, Aleksandra Górniak, Aleksandra Guśpiel, Iga Kraska, JustynaMularska, Kinga Paleczek,Anna Patejuk, Diana Szczepan and MałgorzataTrybus. It seems worth mentioning that after successful experiences from the previous editions, students of the Department of English Philology were again invited to contribute to the organization of the event.

Additionally, two teams of Turkish students staying in our Department as part of the Erasmus Plus project, i.e. Sena Erdizci, Buse Erdem, Burcu Ӧzen, Nesibe Yorganci prepared multimedia presentations about the culture and customs of their country.

The coordinator of cooperation was Monika Leczek, the teacher of English from “Szczepanik” and, on the part of The Department, the coordination and methodological supervision was ensured by Dr. Agnieszka Habrat
